Alter Music ("the app") is a private, self-hosted music and audiobook player for a small, invited group of household members. It connects only to a private server operated by the person who runs the household deployment ("the operator"). This policy explains what the app handles and how.
Solely to provide the service to you and your household: streaming your library, syncing playback between your devices, and personal features like recommendations. The app shows no advertising and contains no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising software.
Your data lives on the operator's private, self-hosted server, not on any third-party cloud service. Network traffic between the app and that server is encrypted (HTTPS) and may pass through a content-delivery tunnel (Cloudflare) purely to reach the server; that traffic is encrypted in transit.
Your data is not sold and not shared with third parties. It stays within the household deployment. Other household members do not see your personal activity; the shared music library is, by design, common to the household.
The app is intended for the operator's invited household members and is not directed to children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated date above will change and the current version will always be available at this address.
